For over two decades these Awards have introduced the public to professional photographers right across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Originally named the' Kodak Wedding & Portrait Awards' and more recently sponsored by Fujifilm, they are administered by the Master Photographers Association - the UK's premier trade body for professional photographers.

There is no cost to the consumer to enter and the photographer pays a £2 fee per image, of which £1 will be donated to the very worthy PACE charity for disabled children.

The overall winning consumers both win £1000. The overall winning photographers receive the title of MPA/Fujifilm Wedding or Portrait Photographer of the Year 2012 and trophy

There are 20 runners up prizes of £50 shopping vouchers and there are two rounds during the year. Entry deadline for the first round is 18th May and the second is 31st August 2012.

Any professional photographer may enter the Awards on your behalf. All they need to do is download the entry forms from this website and abide by the terms and conditions.

Presentations will take place at the Master Photography Awards at the Hilton Hotel Newcastle in October 2012.
